Trojan 50 Box Set: Dancing Time LP

 

With the release of the Trojan 50 box set drawing ever closer, we take a look at another item included within the multiformat package…

 

The vinyl LP, ‘Dancing Time’ brings together a dozen of the most popular recordings that featured on the Trojan limited-edition 7” series a few years ago.

 

The mixture of ultra-rare rock steady and reggae tracks is performed by some of Jamaican music’s biggest names, including Desmond Dekker & the Aces, the Maytals, the Pioneers, Justin Hinds & the Dominoes and the Ethiopians.

 

With a nod to the type-led style that graced a number of now classic Trojan album compilations from 1970, the stylishly designed sleeve artwork perfectly compliments the musical selection, which was recorded between 1966 and 1970.
