In the history of Jamaican music, few performers  have proved more successful than Barry Biggs, yet despite recording a succession of international hits in the 1970s and 1980s, his remarkable achievements have been largely overlooked by music historians.

From the mid-seventies through to the mid-eighties, Barry was rarely out of the reggae charts and made the British national pop listings on no less than six occassions, with his soulful renderings of such hits as ‘Sideshow’, ‘Work All Day’, ‘You’re My Life’ and ‘Three Ring Circus’ proving particularly influential in the development of Lovers Rock in the UK.

Trojan Tuesday we pay due respect to the man with an updated and Spotify playlist, comprising 30 of his best known recordings.
