A reminder to those who may not have caught earlier posts, the second of the Ethiopians' releases for October 31st is the 7" limited edition single, featuring two self-financed tracks recorded by Leonard and his regular singing partner, Stephen Taylor shortly after the release of the LP in 1968.
The recordings, featuring some of Jamaica's leading session players, had been intended for issue on their own imprint, but unfortunately financial difficulties ensured all but two of the sides cut that day saw issue - and those on a strictly limited blank-labelled 7" pre-release single.
Now, over four decades later, the top-side of that ultra-rare 45 - the excellent 'I'm Shocking' - is finally made available once more, with the recording coupled with the previously unissued gem, 'Sign The Cheque'.
We sincerely hope that both this single and the re-issue of 'Engine 54' will go some way to ensuring Leonard's talent and legacy will be remembered for many, many years to come.
