Next week sees the launch of an exciting new genre-based 2CD series featuring the very best in Jamaican sounds from the past half-century.

Drawing extensively on both the Trojan and Island catalogues, each of these 40 track collections highlight a popular Jamaican music style, ranging from Mento and R&B through to Ragga.

Available from May 16th, the first 11 releases each highlight many of the greatest music Jamaica has ever produced, with many of the recordings making their CD debuts.
