30 years ago today the undisputed King of Reggae, Bob Marley tragically passed away.
During his brief lifetime he was instrumental in introducing the sound of the Kingston ghetto to the world at large, making Reggae fans of those who had previously either shunned or been unfamiliar with the genre.
From leader of one of Jamaica's most popular Ska groups to the biggest star the island has ever produced, his legacy is truly profound and we, like all those who enjoy Jamaican music, will forever mourn his passing.
Nesta Robert Marley, 6 February 1945 - 11 May 1981. Forever Rest in Peace.
